May 20, Xiangyang and Shenzhen Beike Biotech Co. Ltd. held a stem cell research and industry promotion cooperation signing ceremony. City leaders Mr. wan and Mr. Huang were in attendance.
Under the agreement, Beike Biotech Co. Ltd. will set up “Hubei Province Beike Biotech Co. Ltd.” Hubei Beike Biotech will consist of an international-quality research and development laboratory, stem cell research facilities and a stem cell bank. The agreement will integrate domestic and foreign resources for stem cell research, provide technical support on stem cell research and streamline the clinical application of stem cells, serving Xiangfan and nearby hospitals.
At the completion of the project, Hubei Beike Biotech will strengthen Xiangfan’s biomedical industry and promote economic development in the area as well as enhance public health.
Taizhou, Jiangsu, China, 7 April 2009 – Jiangsu government’s China Medical City (CMC) and Shenzhen Beike Biotechnology Co. Ltd. (http://www.beikebiotech.com) broke ground on the 20,000 square-meter Stem Cell Regenerative Medicine Industrial Project of National Bio-Industry Base (NBPD). This facility will house China’s first comprehensive regenerative medicine technology center and its largest international stem cell bank.
