About Beike

Beike develops cell-processing, biobanking and translational-research capabilities from its headquarters in Shenzhen.

Introduction to Beike

Cell science supported by operational and quality systems.

Shenzhen Beike Biotechnology Co., Ltd. (“Beike Biotech”) was founded in July 2005 and is headquartered in Shenzhen. Company figures reported in January 2024 listed more than 740 employees, with over 40% working in technical R&D roles. Beike operates research, cell-processing and biobanking programmes with teams in China and international scientific collaborators.

The company reports management-system certifications covering quality (ISO 9001), environment (ISO 14001), occupational health and safety (ISO 45001), and information security (ISO 27001). Certification scope and current status should be confirmed for the specific facility or service under consideration.

Beike's operating model combines comprehensive cell banks with regional cell-preparation centres. This infrastructure supports research and partner programmes across several regions of China; the applicable quality, regulatory and release requirements are defined separately for each programme.

Our history

Two decades of organisational development.

Beike was incorporated in Shenzhen in July 2005 after earlier research work by members of its founding team. Its activities subsequently expanded from cell processing and storage into research platforms, standards work and collaborations with medical institutions.

Earlier Beike websites reported patient, laboratory, funding and partner-hospital totals. Those historical figures described different periods and operating models, so they are not presented here as current facts. In 2010, Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao toured the company's Shenzhen facilities.

Today this international site presents Beike as a biotechnology and research organisation, not as a clinic. Any work involving human participants or clinical use must be assessed through the responsible medical institution and the applicable ethics, regulatory and quality frameworks.

Working principles

Principles for scientific and operational work.

01

Integrity

Communicating evidence, limitations and responsibilities clearly, including when the answer is uncertain.

02

Accountability

Daring to take responsibility — standing up in the face of difficulty, owning mistakes, and exhausting every method to find a way through.

03

Rigor

Continuous improvement in every link and every detail; details determine success or failure — meticulous, and right the first time.

04

Innovation

Technological and conceptual innovation as the driving force of progress and our enduring core competitiveness.

05

Care

Respect and spiritual communication between people; harmony begins with care, and care begins bit by bit.

06

Service

Professional, attentive service to customers; win-win, mutually beneficial service to partners. Service is our responsibility and our mission.

07

Teamwork

Combining complementary strengths through sharing, support and gratitude — turning “1+1” into more than 2.
