The 2009 China Mid-Year Forum on Venture Capital and Private Equity Investment, hosted by Zero2IPO Group, was held in Beijing on July 9-10. On July 10, at the forum, Zero2IPO unveiled the 4th "Zero2IPO – China's Top 50 Most Investment-Worthy Enterprises" (Zero2IPO – Venture 50) list. Shenzhen Beike Biotechnology Co., Ltd. ranked 12th.

Beike Biotech is a biotech high-tech enterprise in China specializing in basic stem cell research, clinical application research, and stem cell technology services. In stem cell clinical application research and technology services, Beike Biotech consistently keeps pace with international developments. Beike Biotech has a strong sense of mission for the development of China's biomedical technology, aiming, through continuous and in-depth research in basic stem cell research and clinical application technologies, to secure a place for China's biomedical industry in international competition.

This year's Top 50 enterprises cover all five major industries. The biotech/health category, to which Beike Biotech belongs, has 8 companies on the list, with Beike Biotech ranking among the top three. Most of the listed companies still demonstrated counter-cyclical growth in 2008 — when the economic situation suddenly cooled — and recently completed a new round of financing. This vitality has attracted significant attention from venture capital institutions.

The common feature of the listed enterprises that most attracts investors is high growth. As a startup founded only four years ago, Beike Biotech's robust vitality and growth not only demonstrate the correctness and scientific nature of the company's roadmap, but also reflect the unity and harmony of the company in working together for development. At the same time, Beike Biotech's innovative business model is also a major draw for investors.

The "Zero2IPO – China's Top 50 Most Investment-Worthy Enterprises" selection event was organized by Zero2IPO Group, with 69 top venture capitalists invited to jointly participate in the evaluation. Candidate enterprises were thoroughly assessed on their management team and equity structure, business operations, business models and competitiveness, industries and markets, financial status and projections, business risks and countermeasures, and other relevant aspects. Ultimately, from over a thousand nominees across major industries nationwide, 50 enterprises that venture capitalists deemed most investment-worthy were selected. Currently, this selection event has become the most authoritative venture capitalist evaluation of enterprises in China and a bellwether reflecting the year's most growth-potential enterprises.
