Shenzhen recently issued the "Shenzhen 2020 Key Tasks for Business Environment Optimization Reform". As a concrete measure to comprehensively implement the General Secretary's important instruction on taking the lead in stepping up business environment reform, the city has taken the lead in increasing the intensity of reform, striving to create a top-tier business environment, and continuing to address key issues of concern to enterprises and citizens.
Shenzhen has made the optimization of the business environment its "No. 1 reform project". On 20 May, the Shenzhen Development and Reform Commission held the first meeting of the (first session of the) Shenzhen Business Environment Optimization Advisory and Supervisory Committee at the Civic Center, announcing the establishment of the committee. Dr. Hu Xiang of Beike Biotech was appointed as a Vice Chair of the committee.

Guo Yuehua, Vice Director of the Shenzhen Development and Reform Commission, attended the meeting and presented certificates of appointment to the committee members. Vice Director Guo Yuehua said that the business environment is a hallmark that countries and regions place great emphasis on building in the course of economic development. As a Pilot Demonstration Zone for Socialism with Chinese Characteristics, Shenzhen must be at the forefront of optimizing the business environment, leading the way and serving as a model and benchmark – a key mission of the Business Environment Optimization Advisory and Supervisory Committee.

During this fight against the pandemic, the projects of Beike Biotech in the COVID-19 response received approval under the Guangdong Department of Science and Technology's "Emergency Special Project on Scientific and Technological Tackling for the Prevention and Control of Novel Coronavirus Infection" and the Kunming Science and Technology Bureau's "Special Project on Scientific and Technological Prevention and Control of Novel Coronavirus Pneumonia", contributing to the fight against the pandemic.
