On the afternoon of 11 June 2020, a delegation of 6, led by Shi Shizhen, Director of the Standards Division of the Shenzhen Municipal Market Supervision Administration, and Zhang Zengying, President of the Shenzhen Performance Excellence Promotion Association, visited Beike Biotech for the plaque-presentation ceremony of the "2019 Shenzhen Standardization Innovation Demonstration Base".The delegation toured the Shenzhen Comprehensive Cell Bank Science Education Hall. Director Shi Shizhen asked in detail about Beike Biotech's achievements in technological innovation in the cell field and standardization-innovation, as well as the prospects of industry development. The two sides then held discussions, and the "Shenzhen Standardization Innovation Demonstration Base" plaque was presented to Beike Biotech, with Director Shi Shizhen of the Standards Division presiding over the ceremony.Subsequently, Xu Shaokun, Director and Senior Engineer of Beike Biotech's Quality Management Center, gave the delegation a detailed briefing on Beike Biotech's standardization-related work and innovations. Beike Biotech has long placed a high priority on standardization, proactively bringing in standardization research institutions for guidance, and has formed a complete internal corporate standardization management system. Through more than a dozen modules and over five hundred documents working in concert, the company has refined a standardized management system covering cell quality from donor to preparation to testing, while innovatively cultivating dedicated standardization personnel for the cell field.While building its internal standardization, Beike Biotech has also been advancing standardization in the cell industry, actively participating in the drafting of industry, local and technical specifications. The company was named one of the first batch of experts in the Shenzhen Standards Library and led the drafting of the Shenzhen local standards "SZDB/Z 188-2016 Code for the Construction and Management of Cell Preparation Centers" (2016–2017) and "SZDB/Z 266-2017 Code for the Establishment and Management of Comprehensive Cell Banks", providing useful references for the formulation of national cell therapy industry standards. Beike Biotech also participates in the Shenzhen Performance Excellence Promotion Association's standardization management training and standardization institution seminars, jointly advancing standardization work in Shenzhen.
