Strengthening research and innovation capability! Professor Jiang Wei of the Medical Research Institute of Wuhan University appointed as external expert of Beike Biotech
On the afternoon of 29 September, in order to drive the company's high-quality development and enhance its core competitiveness, Shenzhen Beike Biotechnology Co., Ltd. held a ceremony to award an external expert advisor certificate and sign a cooperation project.Dr. Hu Junyuan, Chairman of Beike Biotech, signed a "Cooperation Project Letter of Intent" with Professor Jiang Wei and presented him with the external expert advisor certificate. Professor Jiang Wei is a professor at the Medical Research Institute of Wuhan University and a Distinguished Researcher at Zhongnan Hospital. He has conducted in-depth research in the areas of stem cell differentiation, epigenetic regulation and long non-coding RNAs, and has published more than 30 papers in international journals, cited more than 2,000 times in SCI.
At the signing ceremony, Beike Biotech and Professor Jiang Wei successfully reached cooperation intentions, with the two sides set to collaborate in multiple areas, including building a technical system for reprogramming and transdifferentiation; building a technical platform for the directed differentiation of pluripotent stem cells into pancreatic and islet cells; building a technical platform for the directed differentiation of pluripotent stem cells into nerve cells; and developing cell therapy approaches or drugs with potential to treat diabetes and neurodegenerative diseases, building expert teams and a talent pipeline, so that outstanding research outcomes from individuals or teams can be better integrated into Beike Biotech's grand vision and the unceasing effort to improve human health.
At the central talent conference held in Beijing from 27–29 September, General Secretary Xi Jinping delivered an important speech in which he emphasized adhering to facing the world's frontiers of science and technology, the main economic battlefield, the country's major needs and the people's life and health, and deeply implementing the talent-strong-country strategy of the new era – cultivating, attracting and making good use of talent in all dimensions, and accelerating the building of important global talent centers and innovation hubs.
