On the morning of May 27, the mountain climbing event of the 12th Shenzhen Migrant Young Workers' Cultural and Sports Festival was held at the picturesque Maluan Mountain Country Park, attracting more than 200 migrant young workers from various districts across the city to compete.
The event was jointly hosted by the Publicity Department of the CPC Shenzhen Municipal Committee and the Municipal Bureau of Culture, Sports and Tourism, with the Pingshan New District Public Service Bureau as organizer and the Maluan Mountain Country Park Management Office as co-organizer. Three contestants from Shenzhen Beike Biotechnology Co., Ltd. ran the approximately 3.6-kilometer course in 19 minutes 32 seconds, were the first to summit and cross the finish line, and won first place.
The mountain climbing event is one of 26 standing programs in the Shenzhen Migrant Young Workers' Cultural and Sports Festival. With the theme "Showcasing the Style of Migrant Young Workers, Painting the Blueprint of the Chinese Dream," it included a competitive team mountain climbing race and a public health-walk mountain climbing event. The competitive team mountain climbing race was conducted as a timed race, with each team consisting of two men and one woman; the time was recorded only when all three team members crossed the finish line.
The public health-walk activity began after the competitive team race had set off. While climbing the mountain, the migrant young workers fully enjoyed the beautiful scenery along the way and the fun of the activity itself, racing forward and encouraging one another, with everyone reaching the summit with full enthusiasm.
