Recently, Shenzhen Beike Biotechnology Co., Ltd. donated RMB 500,000 to the Wang Zhengguo Trauma Medicine Development Foundation, actively fulfilling its corporate social responsibility and demonstrating its sense of social responsibility. Academician Wang Zhengguo, founder of the Wang Zhengguo Trauma Medicine Development Foundation, and Dr. Hu Junyuan, Chairman of Beike Biotech, signed the donation cooperation agreement on behalf of both parties. The donation will be used to support the Foundation in cultivating trauma medicine research talent, conducting scientific research in trauma medicine, engaging in trauma-care public-interest activities, and promoting the development of China's trauma medicine, trauma-care system, and research and education in this field.
Established in 2014, the Wang Zhengguo Trauma Medicine Development Foundation upholds the mission of carrying forward Academician Wang Zhengguo's noble medical character and rigorous scholarly spirit, promoting the development of trauma medicine, recognizing medical and technical personnel who have made outstanding contributions to trauma medicine, and providing funding support for grassroots health units to carry out trauma medicine activities. Focused on supporting trauma scientific research and conducting trauma-related public-interest activities, the foundation has played an active role in driving the healthy development of the trauma field, and is a public-interest organization that combines high reputation and influence in the industry.
Foundation founder Academician Wang Zhengguo expressed his appreciation and gratitude for Beike Biotech's generous donation, noting that trauma-related deaths rank fifth among all causes of death in China. Counties cover 90% of China's land area, and most trauma scenes occur in vast county areas. In these areas, trauma care suffers from four lags: lagging concepts, lagging models, lagging procedures and lagging capabilities. He expressed the hope that the Foundation and Beike Biotech will work hand in hand in the future, carrying out broader and deeper cooperation in the field of trauma care in China – especially in raising medical standards in less-developed regions, equalizing medical development and improving grassroots care levels – to contribute to "Healthy China".
