On 12 January 2023, a delegation including Wang Qiong, Vice President of Taihe Hospital Wudangshan Branch; Rao Jianwen, Chairman of Shiyan Wudang Zhidao Health Management Co., Ltd.; and Zhang Dengkui, General Manager of Hubei Hedao Media Co., Ltd., visited Beike Biotech for inspection and exchange. Beike Biotech's Senior Vice President Liu Xiangyang and Vice President Xiang Wei attended and received the guests. The two sides held in-depth discussions on establishing a "Comprehensive Cell Bank, Regional Cell Preparation Center and Big Data Center" at the Wudangshan Branch of Taihe Hospital, hoping for the project to land as soon as possible to benefit more people.
Earlier, Beike Biotech, the Wudangshan Special Zone Administrative Committee and Taihe Hospital reached three intentions: to establish a Comprehensive Cell Bank, a Regional Cell Preparation Center and a Big Data Center (covering metabolomics, genomics and cell data) at the Wudangshan Branch of Taihe Hospital, with the aim of building, in Wudangshan, a major health industry base built on life sciences research, with the clinical application of life science technologies in medical institutions as the main thread and health management and elder care/wellness for healthy and sub-healthy populations as a complementary line, fully developing a leading national life sciences industry cluster. Currently, the project has completed the preparatory planning stage and steady construction is underway.
Accompanied by staff, Vice President Wang and her delegation toured the "Shenzhen Comprehensive Cell Bank", the "Shenzhen Regional Cell Preparation Center" and the "Shenzhen Comprehensive Cell Bank Science Education Hall". Beike Biotech's Senior Vice President Liu Xiangyang gave a detailed introduction to the overall layout of Beike Biotech's "Comprehensive Cell Bank + Regional Cell Preparation Center" network, noting that Wudangshan is a famous domestic scenic area and a renowned health resort, blessed with both a high-quality natural ecological environment and a strong base of medical resources. Beike Biotech will give full play to its advantages in talent, technology and brand and provide all-round support so that the Beike Biotech Wudangshan project can land and become operational as soon as possible, contributing to the leapfrog development of the Wudangshan major health industry.
Vice President Wang also expressed that combining Wudangshan's natural ecology, scenic and cultural resources with biopharmaceutical and health technology represents a strong-with-strong alliance.
