On May 9, 2019, Wang Qiang, Party Secretary of Shenzhen's Nanshan District, and Lian Cong, Deputy District Head, led a delegation including the leaders of multiple departments — the District Development and Reform Commission, the District Science and Technology Innovation Bureau, the District Industry and Information Technology Bureau, the District Health Commission, and the District Statistics Bureau — to visit Beike Biotech and Saidong Bio, listening on site to the enterprises' R&D achievements and helping to resolve the development challenges of these start-up technology companies.
Secretary Wang Qiang and his delegation toured Beike Biotech and Saidong Bio's automated cell preparation system R&D laboratory. This preparation system is the world's first fully automated and fully enclosed cell preparation system. Its development fills a gap in the industry, drives the industrialization of the cell sector, restructures the current cell intelligent manufacturing landscape with industrial credibility, empowers cell technology companies, and promotes the upgrading of cell manufacturing into intelligent cell manufacturing.
At the subsequent discussion, Dr. Hu Xiang, Chairman of Beike Biotech, briefed the delegation on Beike's development history and innovative scientific achievements. After listening to the briefings and views, Secretary Wang Qiang fully recognized the innovative technological breakthroughs that Beike Biotech and its subsidiary Shenzhen Saidong Bio have made in biotechnology automation, gained a thorough understanding of the issues the enterprises encounter in their innovation-driven growth, and on the spot assigned each issue to the head of the relevant functional department, identifying specific contacts to follow through and effectively resolve the enterprises' challenges.
